Stuck task

We recently had a problem during a backup, which has left a task stuck in a 'running' state. No way I can see to cancel or remove the task, so what is the process we should use? The task now shows as 'running' for 6500 minutes, but obviously there's no associated active task.

Thanks

Re: Stuck task

Hello,

Usually, restarting the "Trilead VM Explorer Service" should remove any stuck job. Locate the "Trilead VM Explorer Service"  and right-click on it then choose  Restart .

If the job is still running after restarting the service it is possible that an instance of VMX.exe is still running and keeps showing the task, you should able to kill it manually using task manager:

  • Make sure that no backups are running;
  • Close the VM Explorer interface, if open;
  • Kill any  VMX.exe  from the task manager.
