uCMDB change Subnet to another DDM probe

We are looking to change some of our subnets ranges to scan to another DDM probe to reduce network traffic.

My feeling is that we would not have CI orphans as the ProbeName would only change in the IP CI, some say we have to delete the old records as they will be orphans?

Anybody knows?

P.S. This thread has been moved from Application Perf Mgmt (BAC / BSM) Support and News Forum to CMS and Discovery Support and News Forum. -HP Forum Moderator

Re: uCMDB change Subnet to another DDM probe

In case you re-assign the IP range to another Probe, probe name is changed on all relevant IP CI's automatically.

There should be no issues with re-arranging the Probe ranges except of the cases you use some custom discovery and override the probe selection in pattern management.
