Universal discovery issue

Experts

Need your urgent help on below issue.

We have configured zone based discovery based on the iP ranges. Today when we tried to RUN the infrastructure activity no ci got created however no error reported on discovery cobsole results and status shows as "Reached Probe" for all the zones.

Few days back it was working for other zones.

Also just an update recently we have enabled AM-uCMDB and SM-uCMDB integration and in integration we have selected the UD iP as probe.

Can we use Integration service here as ud is installed on another server , however I tried enabling integration service but post that complete uCMDB console went Down. And came up when it was stopped.

Please suggest
Thanks,

Deepesh

Re: Universal discovery issue

Integration Service couldn't be used for the discovery. If the probe is installed on the smae machine with UCMDB, Integration Service need to be disabled.

I'd suggest opening support case, since many different configuration settings could stop immediate discovery.

Re: Universal discovery issue

Hi Dima

UD and integration service is on different server. Even we are not using Integration service anywhere, we are usind ud probe in intergraton as well as in discovery.

Also just a query before running discovery we have deleted couple of Old created CI's. and then starts to discover the same as a new one with complete details, does this cause the issue.?

Thanks,

Re: Universal discovery issue

No issue at all.

Any CI not discovered for a period longer that aging period will be deleted. Whenever specific CI will rediscovered again, it will be recreated.

Hope this helps.
