Undefined error code

We have a problem in HP UCMDB 9.05
While we search CI in IT Universe Manager it's come up error " undefined error code" same like if we opened CI Life Cycle "undefined status". we cannot enable aging CI.

Please give us information how to solve that problem.

Re: Undefined error code

Hi..Mainly this issue occurs when the server is not sync with the database. Are you getting this error only on this two pages? hae you tried chnaging any attributes or citypes names from the scripts or configurations files? please check the server log you could identify which CIT is causing this issues. or update us with the recent server logs after you reproduce this error. Regards..

Re: Undefined error code

"Undefined error code" isn't point to anything...

We need more info and need to see an exception (actually a stuck trace).

Start from %TEMP%\UCMDBLog folder on the computer where browser is runing, It will contain clients log.

Reproduce the problem and check what will be added to error.log.

Post the log (or relevant sniplet) here.

Re: Undefined error code

The problem could be result of inconsistency between JARs on client and server sides.

My suggestion is to do following:

- Clean the JAVA cache on the client side and contetn of the folder %TEMP%\UcmdbAppletJars .

- be sure you're on the latest CUP for 9.05.  Latest available at HP SSO at http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM00661078 .

Hope this helps.

Re: Undefined error code

Hi,

deployment.properties can't be accessed by the GUI and things won't load and run properly.

This isn't a bug but an ACTUAL valid error message, it's something related to your client and the applet's need to get to your user path: "C:\Users\psharma090112\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\"

You might want to ask your client's help desk if they've had other java applets report problems working with their corporate standard security. In the interim, if you have RDP and remote server access to a server grade OS, you might get different results there.

I'm not level 1 support, but you might also want to try adding the UCMDB server to trusted sites, etc... I'd talk to your help desk.
