Ucmdb Discovery - single machine multiple IPs

Hi,

After discovery, I have checked that some of my machines have multiple IP's.

While the machine is discovered by only one single IP(using WMI JOB).

Rest of all the associated IPs are created by ICMP.

How these IPs are automatically associated with the host machine???

Re: Ucmdb Discovery - single machine multiple IPs

By which relationship type is the IP tied with Host?

Re: Ucmdb Discovery - single machine multiple IPs

I believe these IPs are created by "Range IPs by ICMP" job and later on tied by Host Connection by WMI job to the proper host.
Could you check on machine itself whether there is really more than one IP address?

Re: Ucmdb Discovery - single machine multiple IPs

Hi ALexander,

Yes You are right, those are created by IP range discovery by ICMP.

But in some cases also i have a machines with multiple IPs in which some of the IPs are discovered by ICMP and some are discovered by Network Traffic?

Do you have any IP Network Traffic Discovery??
