UCMDB10 integration with LANDesk

Hello Everyone,

we have a requirement for data import from LANDesk 9 into UCMDB10. What would be the best way to achieve the said objective.

Thanks a bunch

kind regards

Sher

Re: UCMDB10 integration with LANDesk

Hi Sher,

From what I can see LANDesk stores the data in a standard database (SQL server or Oracle), and as such your best option would probably be to use the GDBA (database adapter) to import the data from the database directly.

You will need to create a custom adapter, which is mainly mapping the information from the database to the UCMDB data model.

Other options would be to write a specific jython adapter against the database, or to export the data to a file, and import it from a file.

I believe that the GDBA would better fit though.

Thanks,

Doron

Thank you Doron,

can a GDBA help me in getting CIs and its relationship from LANDesk?

Re: UCMDB10 integration with LANDesk

yes, you will need to configure it to go to the right tables, and to map it to cis in the UCMDB.
