UCMDB Discovery jobs running order.

Hi everybody!
I am working with "standard" discovery license. And I want to discover different CIs.
In what order shall I start discovery jobs? Could you tell me where can I read about it? (any document, URL...)

Thank you!!

Re: UCMDB Discovery jobs running order.

You should start with "Range IPc by ICMP" to gather IPs, then "Host Connection by ***", then "Host Resources by ***", and so forth.
The easiest way for you is to use Discovery Wizards (simple mode) as it runs discovery appropriately.

In either event, if you will check "Invoke on new trigger CIs immediately" checkbox, you're free to disregard the order of discovery, but keep in mind, that Range IPs & Host Connection are very basic jobs which should run first.
And don't forget to put credentials (WMI, NTCMD, Telnet, SSH, DB, etc.)

in addition to the default standard discovery order, for each discovery pattern you want to run as your ultimate goal. (lets say SQL server), you can check what CI types it requires as input (trigger TQL), then go and check which pattern create those CI, and so forth, until you get to the 'bottom of the food-chain' so to speak. :-)

as a general rule, basic discovery order:

IP,Host,Connection/port, then applications...
//Add this to "OnDomLoad" event
