Layer is too Big For perspective based Views

Hi,

We are using HP UCMDB 8.02.
We have created a few of the perrspective based views.

While opening that views under IT Universe manner we have observed some random behaviour.

Similarly, Many times while viewing the view under IT universe manager, it throws the error as : Layer is too big to display and sometimes the same view, open properly in IT Universe also. So, it is totally a random behaviour.

We have already applied the folding rules on the perspective and our view doesnot contain more than 20 objects which we are able to see under modeling studio.

Pls let me know why this is happening and how to solve the same.

Regards,
Atul Gupta

Atul, could you describe the perspective configuration? (nodes, edges, folding/grouping, etc.)
Also - is this "random behavior" happening on the same view over the same model or it happens for different views?

Re: Layer is too Big For perspective based Views

Hi,

We have only 10-100 onljects in our views but still we are getting the errors.

While refreshing or rebuilding the view we are getting error:

Cannot find the Symbol.

Please find the attached error screen shots and let me know how to solve the same.

Thanks in Advance.

Re: Layer is too Big For perspective based Views

Hi Alexander,

This is random behaviour for most of the views. Sometimes they start working fine and sometimes they start throwing the error.

Our perspectives and models are very simple and there is no need of folding rules also there.

In View manager it shows a count of only 100-200 object but under IT Universe, it throws the error as :

Layer is too big.

Please suggest if you have any idea about this?
