Failed Detecting OS type for SOlaris- ssh discovery

Hi,

Working on UCMDB 10.20 .

We are trying to discover Unix server using ssh credential.  In fact it is a private key . In credential check , connection is successful but disocvery is showing below error.

"FAILED DETECTING OS TYPE" FOR SOLARIES SERVER

os DETAILS ARE AS BELOW

"SunOS zpshpdisdbda01 5.10 Generic_150400-20 sun4v sparc sun4v"

Also tried to run below command on servers and it returns the expected output.

cat /etc/release

Oracle Solaris 10 1/13 s10s_u11wos_24a SPARC

Copyright (c) 1983, 2013, Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved.

Assembled 17 January 2013

ksh: /etc/lgr: cannot open

$ echo $SHELL

/bin/ksh

Please find the attached communication log

Need quick answer on the same.

Regards,

Neena

Re: Failed Detecting OS type for SOlaris- ssh discovery

You should log in using SSH client (like PuTTY) directly to problematic server with credentials used by probe and run commands like "uname", "echo $?".

I think there is something wrong with shell on target server, becuase every command returns "ksh: /etc/lgr: cannot open".
