Does HP UCMDB Discovery affects Last Access Time.

Hi,

Suppose I have discovered a Windows device using WMI discovery.

Now after one week I will be running the WMI Discovery again and there is no change in the configuration of that windows device, then pls let me know whether the UCMB discovery will affect the Last Access Time or the Update tIme of that Windows Box.

Thanks And regards,
Atul Gupta

Re: Does HP UCMDB Discovery affects Last Access Time.

Hi Oran,

Thanks for reply.

But actually when i am running the WMI Discovery again for the windows machine its neither updating the Last Access Time nor the Last Update Time.

But if i am changing any of its attribute manually then its changing the Last Access Time.

Do You have any idea why it's not happening ?

Re: Does HP UCMDB Discovery affects Last Access Time.

If it discovers the same instance within 1 day, it will not update it unless something changes in your network.
Also, probe sends "touch" once in 24 hours for those instances which were discovered, but didn't actually change. It forces update of Last Access Time.
