SOM users creation and mapping are stored in any log file ?

Dear Team,

Please let me know whether the user creation/modificatio/deletion details are stored in any log files of SOM.

I created one user account now with group mapping, but I have not seen this information in any logs.

And I see, a user account with "Global Operator" user group/role will have access to all topology objects, But this user is not able to login to SOM console.

Re: SOM users creation and mapping are stored in any log file ?

Hello Hari,

The user security is part of the NNMi framework.  Depending different factors, security information is recorded in different locations.

Your question is not very clear so I will provide some information here.

If you are logging into SOM, it is recorded into the SOM.log file.

If you are modifying security settings (Ex. delete), this information may be stored within the audit log located within the %OvDataDir%\nmas\NNM\log directory.  I only found that deletions are recorded.

Predefined User Groups are discussed in the SOM 10.10 Users Guide (P. 112-115).  It also mentions permissions.

What permissions a user has is not stored in log files.

I hope that this helps answer your questions.

Regards,

Mark
