I’m so glad you asked. That is what we are here to discuss. Every IT organization is different, heck, every cloud is different. So, with all these differences what are some basic underlying assumptions we made that went into the reason for creating HP Service Virtualization.
Developers need to access services and components to build their (modern, SOA, Cloud) applications.
Functional testers would find defects and code issues a lot sooner if they could test while dev was still in process.
Performance engineers would love to test against production services with multiple scenarios but rarely have that capability.
Will virtualizing services that look and behave just like the real thing help fulfill this wish list? We think so.
