How KM profiles are associated with Operator Security Roles

Hi All,

As KM is following process designer now onwards.

I would like to know how KM profiles(KCS1 , KCS 2 ect) are assocaited with operator record?

We only mention Security Roles in operator records.

Re: How KM profiles are associated with Operator Security Roles

Hi,

They are asotiated via the user role. Depending on the role you can set for the operator to be KCS 1 ,2 and so on.

It is in:  operator record -> user role and you have to chose from the drop down list

Re: How KM profiles are associated with Operator Security Roles

User Access to KM is managed exactly like it always as been. There is still a knowledge groups array in the operator record and the rights are tied to the knowledge groups to which the user belongs.

The only change with KM security is the there is now a SecRole for Knowledge Management Configuration--which provides rights to mofidy/maintain the change workflows/categories/etc. That role does not replace the knowledge group configuration for access to km articles and editing controls.
