unable to start sd4.5 application server

Hi,
I manually click start server, it stated booting....
and then vanished. (no error)

-installed the server services. start it sucssesfully but the oracle listesner stopped and vise versa.
-reboot the whole machine, wont work.
-have not reinstall the sd server yet.
-machine is win2k server.
-oracle database on the same machine.

Anything that I miss here or if anyone can help me on this?
I attach the server log.

Thanks!
Azlan

Hello!
Did you have right settings in database and user accounts?
You trying to connect existing database or created during install procedure?

Re: unable to start sd4.5 application server

Hi!
It's a strange message in your log file: "The Network Adapter could not establish the connection".
Have you established TCP/IP connection on your PC (tested in local network)?

Did you upgrade your database to current application server version?

Re: unable to start sd4.5 application server

Azlan,

I'm pretty sure your listener configuration isn't correct. Probably you have removed the network cable, changed the NT network settings.
You have to play with Ipaddresses, names of your machines (like localhost, 127.0.0.1, hostname, FQDN) to get things working.

Re: unable to start sd4.5 application server

If Oracle and SD are on the same system then I ran into the same scenario. The DB service has to start before the SD service so I had to add SD as a dependancy to Oracle servie inorder to get the SD service to start working.
Go to servies, choose Oracle -> rightclick -> properties. Click on the dependancy tab at the top. If SD is not listed there then you'll need to add SD as a dependancy.
I dont have the instructions anymore or access to a windows system running oracle but I think you can get it from Oracle metalink.
