unable to relate change templates to a role

extremely annoying little (bug??).

HPSD4.5 SP17
In admin Console, editing a role. Items - change. If you want to relate a change template to a role, i always get a "Microsoft VM Command Line interpreter has encountered a problem and needs to close" error.

AppName: jview.exe
AppVer: 5.0.3810.0
ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180
Offsett: 0010370

Plus the attached file

Anybody with the sameproblem or solution?

Re: unable to relate change templates to a role

Did you create a new template or did you copy an existing one and then edit it?
Have you tried clearing down the client cache? server cache?
is there any errors in logserver.txt?

you could try stopping and restarting the service desk service and re-try.

Re: unable to relate change templates to a role

Dear Saxo,
you find out if jview.exe is a virus, trojan, spyware, adware which you can remove, or a file belonging to a Windows system or an application you can trust.

Description: File jview.exe is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. Known file sizes on Windows XP are 172304 bytes (87% of all occurrence), 172060 bytes.
File jview.exe is an unknown file in the Windows folder. jview.exe is not a Windows system file. The program is not visible. Therefore the technical security rating is 53% dangerous.

Important: Some malware camouflage themselves as jview.exe, particularly if they are located in c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 folder. Thus check the jview.exe process on your pc whether it is pest. We recommend Security Task Manager for verifying your computer's security.

Thanks,

Re: unable to relate change templates to a role

I have seen this before. Go under the admin console>Data>Templates>Change and see if you have any templates that do not have a name (Blank) if you do delete it
