sd_export not created a text file

I need to create a text file from a SC ticket when a button "MG" is select. I'm testing from the cmd line but cannot get a text file to be created.

cmd line: sd_export.bat -f mg.ini -o C:\temp\mg.txt

The mg.ini file will create a xml file but the output file will not create.

Any ideals as to whats wrong or other suggestion to create the text file? Using 4.5 SP178

thanks,

Re: sd_export not created a text file

Hello Gail,

sd_export always produces an xml file. This command is usually used in conjunction with sd_import that uses the xml file for importing.

Re: sd_export not created a text file

Gail - I assume that you are running the server version of sd_export.bat. Have you looked in the dirstory C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\OpenView\service desk 4.5\server\data_exchange\log to see if the file is appearing there? Also try the -l option.

Re: sd_export not created a text file

Yes, I'm using the server version of sd_export.bat. And looked in the dirstory C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\OpenView\service desk 4.5\server\data_exchange\log but nothing was created.
I'll have to try the -l option.

The xml file is created but not all of the information from the Service Call ticket is included in the xml file so I am unable to use the xml file.
