sd_dataform with formated text

Hello all,

I'am running sd_dataform to integrate with a IVR system.
I'am having a litle trouble. I want to run sd_dataform, or a batch file that will insert formated text to the field information.

Something like:
"This is the first line:
- This is the second
- This is the third"

I've noticed that in the db there is a square character. How can i reproduce this in the batch file.

Thanks
Jaime

Re: sd_dataform with formated text

Jaime,
I haven't tested but maybe using the OS newline/carriage return can be used (\n for Unix; \r\n for Windows).

Points for the suggestion are appreciated.

Re: sd_dataform with formated text

Hello Pike,

I've allready tried that.

The problem is when i run
sd_dataform "Service Call" "+Description=Test" "+Information=test1 \r\n test2 \r\n test3"

The information field is "test1 \r\n test2 \r\n test3"

I havent figured out a good solution. Now i'a trying to put the information i want in a textfile. And try to create a variable to read that file and imput this in the information field.

Does anyone think this is reasonable ?

Re: sd_dataform with formated text

try to use %line.separator% between lines.

Something like:
"This is the first line: %line.separator%- This is the second %line.separator%- This is the third"

That doesn't work...
I'm reading more on escape characters and syntax.

Re: sd_dataform with formated text

Hello Vasily,

I just made a custom program in java using jview to read a file content, and imput as "Information". It's working now.

Today i saw your reply, and IT WORKS... I done some reverse engineiring and IT REALLY WORKS.... Amazing...
It's hardcoded on SD to use {CRLF} to change line.

Amazing. You are really a GURU. 10 Points comming up.

Thank you and regards
