sd_dataform opens services in wrong form

OVSD4.5, SP17 on windows.

I'm trying to open a service form with the command:

sd_dataform.bat Service "Name=foobar"

Instead of opening the service in the "Service" form, it always uses the "Operations management Service" form - even though 'foobar' is a Business Service.

Is this a known bug, or do i possibly have the wrong syntax for sd_dataform?

Re: sd_dataform opens services in wrong form

Hello Sean,

Try to rename "Service" form to "Service-Form" and launch sd_dataform as

sd_dataform.bat "Service-Form" "Name=foobar".

Re: sd_dataform opens services in wrong form

Thx George,
I didn't do exactly as you said, but you did lead me to the root cause. The default service form is actually called "Service ". It has an extra space character at the end!

You can either remove the space, or call the command with:

sd_dataform.bat "Service " "Name=foobar"

sean.

PS: this bug affects Service Navigator Value Pack's ability to integrate with OVSD service forms out of the box.
