ovconsolecmd

Hi to all!

I would really appreciate some help, regarding the "ovconsolecmd" utility or ServiceDesk 5.1.

What we want to do is create a new call (form) with filled in the fields of the "caller", as well as the description.
I have the object ID of the caller (I can fill in the description easily).

Manual says that the syntax is

ovconsolecmd -showNewForm -itemName=”
[-formName=””] [-template=””]
[-initialValues=””]
[-initialValues=””] ...
[-initialValues=””]

Of course, this works if I do something like...

ovconsolecmd -showNewForm -itemName="ServiceCall" -formName="SC" -initialValues="Caller=alexk"

So we need a way to translate the object ID of the caller to the caller name, or enter it as an initial value with the object ID.

Thanks in advance,
alexk

Re: ovconsolecmd

HI
Yes, I know, all the change.
create the new bat file or modefy existing.
now the process next:
1st step search the person:
ovconsolecmd -find -itemName=Person -filter
="Name = \"Bittinger, Rudolf\""
result be objectIds as text in cmd -> 00000000-0000-0000-0295-9ef5d75f78b5
get this OID and set to form as value for Caller:
ovconsolecmd -showNewForm -itemName="Servicecall" -formName="SD Service Call" -initialValues="Caller=00000000-0000-0000-0295-9ef5d75f78b5"

Beliave that help you,
Vasily
