not open the server setting editer

When I start the Application Server of Service Desk 4.5 then not open the server setting editer pls let me know whats a prblem behaind it.

Try clearing the cache folder and server_settings.xml file.

Yes, you can delete this file and try starting the editor again.

If you delete this file, you will lose the existing database accounts details. You will have to create a new database account using the server settings editor. Obviously this is adviced only if you know the login credentials of the database server you use.

Hi,

how about just rename the file instead and use it as a reference. It can be viewed in Notepad.

Try launch "sd_serversettingseditor" from the following location

C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\OpenView\service desk 4.5\server\bin

Maybe a stop and restart of the services is required. In an extreme case baybe a server reboot would help.
