new windows alert in Service Desk

Hello,

I've created a new UI rule. It cleans a field is other field is null.

I want to open a new window (a information message, "the field have been cleaned") too.

I'm using version 4.5.0588 of Service Desk. I have installed any service pack.

Thank you.

Re: new windows alert in Service Desk

You can do this by making a UI rule that is triggered when the field is changed by becomming "empty".

UI rule:
When a value has changed
where [field] (*) is empty
[Error message] (User Notification Message)

[field] = the field that is cleaned
[error message] = the message that you want to be displayed.

Can you please tell me if this answers your question.

Re: new windows alert in Service Desk

Thank you, but I have created a new UI rule:

When a value has changed
where [field] (*) is empty

but I don't know where I introduced:

[Error message] (User Notification Message)

[field] = the field that is cleaned
[error message] = the message that you want to be displayed.

Is it a command exec action? Where do I introduce the values (description, commmand line, parameters,...)?

Thank you.

Re: new windows alert in Service Desk

You can only do that with Service Pack 24. Prior to that the User Notification Option is only available on Form Open or Before Save type UI rules, not in Value Change. (You used to be able to do a trick to use this but HP stopped that around Service Pack 20).
