new category not showing in template

Software: OpenView ServiceDesk 4.5 (SP7)

I have created a new work order category, listing an existing category as the parent. When I add it to a work order template, it appears as it should. I have the folder set correctly (the parent category) and the category of the template is set as the new category I just created.

When I create a new work order and select the template in question, the category field is blank. If I click on the right to manually select, the new category I created is not listed as an option.

Am I overlooking something?

Hi,

first things first. Close your client session, delete the cache and open a new client session again. Try again. Does it help?

It did work on my machine, but not on my coworker's pc.

Hi,

clear their cache and start the client again and see if it makes a difference.

did you clear their cache. Do they have the template asigned to their role?

Yes, we cleared their cache, and yes they have the template assigned. They can open and select the template, it just isn't populating the category field.
