mapping of CI Forms to CI template

Hi,

I am using OVSD 4.5, SP18 running on WinXP and DB is MS SQL 2000. I want to map a respective CI form to a specific template. for instance, i create 5 different CI Forms (say hardware form, software form etc) and 5 different CI templates (say Hardware Template, Software Template etc...) Now if I choose Hardware Template without addition selection, i want the template to open using Hardware Form and similarly when I open Software Template, I want this template to use Software Form.

I could map the CI template to its respective CI Form using "Admin Console --> Data --> Codes --> General --> Generic Relation Type", but unable to make use of this at the front end.

whosoever used this feature, request you kindly help me on this regard.

thanks in advance

Re: mapping of CI Forms to CI template

Hi Raman,

This is not possible from any of the out of the box features. However, you can use the sd_dataform features, to open respective forms for CIs based on categories, using the Smart Actions. For more details about configuraing the action, please refer to the below link.
