location of Custom Views

Hello All

I have a few users that are getting new hardware. They have created a custom views and I want to transfer them to their new machines. Is there a file where the views are stored that I can transfer to the new machines. We are using 4.5 Sp17

Re: location of Custom Views

Hi David,

the views created by the uesrs are stored locally in the following location on the client machine.

C:\Documents and Settings\%user Profile%\Application Data\Hewlett-Packard\OpenView\Service Desk

Re: location of Custom Views

If I am not wrong, I think all the custom views will be stored in the views.dat file, located in the User's profile. In case of a typical Windows client, it will be under - C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Hewlett-Packard\OpenView\Service Desk'. If you backup this file and replace it in the profile directory on the new system, everything should work fine.
