export database from commandline

we have OVSD sp20 on a unix machine and a oracle database. We want to export the database for test purposes into a windows SQl environment. But somehow the sd_confwizard don't seem to start via an Xwindow. I'm looking for a commandline tool to export this database.
Can anyone help me, thanks !

Re: export database from commandline

Hi Patrick,

I have a file that is over 1MB in size so I cannot attach. It has details on moving Oracle DB to SQL DB.

I have to email it. Do you have an external email or even just set one up for a once off with any email provider.(it just takes a few minutes).

I don't have anything handy that I can upload it to.

Re: export database from commandline

Hi Mark,

thank you for this procedure, but it's not quite what I'm looking for. I would not like to move, rather export the databases using the confwizard-tool. But just this tool does not work. So i'm looking for a different approach to gain the same result.
Have you got any other idea's ?

Re: export database from commandline

Hi,

from the admin guide this is the command to use (which I'm sure you have)

Run /opt/OV/sd/server/bin/sd_dbconfwizard.sh -internal

The other thing is that if you export from oracle can you import into SQL without following the details that I sent you.

I'm no DBA but I am aware of the differences beteween the two DB's.

Re: export database from commandline

Hi Mark,

congratulations new Pharao.

I thank you for your document. It realy is a workaround.

I'll open a new thread because I still get java errors when useing the configwizard tool. But for now I can get further.

Thanks
Patrik
