deactivated rules - scheduled tasks still executed

Hello,

I have disabled some older rules, but it seems that there are still scheduled tasks in the background which are executed at the scheduled time.

Does anybody know if scheduled tasks will be disabled either when a rule is disabled ?

Will the scheduled tasks be deleted, when the rule is deleted ?

regards
Klaus

Re: deactivated rules - scheduled tasks still executed

Hello Klaus,

To my knowledge the scheduled tasks get in a queue and executed separately from the rule that itiated them.

If you want to delete ALL scheduled tasks it is easy...

have a look at http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=965786

But deleting only some of them is very tricky to say the least.

Re: deactivated rules - scheduled tasks still executed

Hello George,

thanks for your help.
That would mean that once you have a rule and scheduled tasks are initiated you will have them active "forever" ... (or until the day the last task is executed)

I read the mentioned thread and will try out the suggestions in our test-environment soon.
Maybe the tasks will be deleted after restart of the server service, when the rules are deleted.

Hopefully HP learns from this and many other threads that the management of scheduled tasks is unacceptable at the moment.
