client giving "java.lang.RuntimeException:unexpectedEOF" error

Hi all,
My sys configuration is:
Servicedesk -4.5 with sp8
Backend- SQL server 2000
Upto now i am using my system frontend end backend(sql server) nicely.I don't know what is the problem now. when i am trying to open the client it is giving error message " java.lang.RuntimeException:unexpectedEOF ".But my application server is running properly.Can any one help me what is the problem.

Hello!
You have to delete Zero-size files, probably one of *.dat, in your client profile directory (data folder).
Also clear the cache.

Thanks for your reply.but i didn't find any dada folder where i installed my HP servicedesk.How to clear the cache. can you pls help me.

Try to delete folder C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Application Data\Hewlett-Packard\

Hi Gorka,

I have installed HP servicedesk4.5 with service pack 8 in E:\Program Files.

I am unable to find the folder with whaterver you specifed in "C" drive.

Give me the proper path.

User cache for Service Desk is not in SD installation folder but in user Document and Settings folder, in this same place where "My documents" are.
Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View tab -> select Show hidden files and folders.
Search for "Document and Settings" when you find it go to it and select user folder (it can be Administrator or Kalyani). Now you should be able to see folder Application Data, open it and delete folder Hewlett-Packard from it.

i'm getting error msg java.lang.runtimeexception:invalidresourceheader
when i tried to open my OVSD tools. I already deleted the folder like stated in previous reply. please assist.
