Your experiences with WebConsole in OVSD4.5?

I have a customer who is thinking of using the WebConsole for a significant number of users. I would be interested in anyones experience with the WebConsole in regards to:

Are you using it in production?
How many users total/concurrent?
Any comments on the resources it requires.
Any comments on performance?
Any comments on usability/issues.
If you looked at it and decided its not for you why?
Do you think it could be used as the main interface for a particular class of user?

Thanks
Gerry

Re: Your experiences with WebConsole in OVSD4.5?

Hello Gerry,

Personal Opinion: Web console is just fine as long as the users use it for viewing items. I think it is to slow for actual working on open items. Besides that, not all UI rules work on Web Console so some workflows will not work on it.

On the other hand it is great for giving it to partners or outsourcers for viewing/do minimal updating or creating new items.

I would say the similar thing.
We have a OVSD installation with apporx. 15 concurrent logons serving 3000 end users.

Web console could be handy whenever you need to access the data outside. However, when it comes to productivity and effinciency, our call agents would like to stay with the Java Console.
