Which views are used in forms and lookups?

Hi Folks,

I am having trouble understanding which views are being used when embedded in other forms and functions. Examples are:
- typing in the partial searchcode of a CI and then pressing tab (quickfind). Which view is used on this form?
- when selecting the relations tab in service call and viewing the Work Order/Related Service Events/Related CI's grids, which view are they using?

So, my question is how do I know which views are being used? Is there an identifier? Is there some good documentation on this somewhere?

Many thanks for any assistance....Andrew

I think most of this is locate under Presentation/Search in the Admin console.

Thanks for the tip Jan, you are quite correct, the setting for the quick find view is under Presentation/Search.

I have still been unable to locate the place to configure the grid fields in the forms. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks...Andrew

Re: Which views are used in forms and lookups?

If you mean the fields on a form that are in fact views (like for example the related CI's on a configuration item), those that can be modified are just available as a view in the list of views.

Jan.
