Web-API - Getting the caller contact number

I'm currently developing an application that will get information of a ticket from ServiceDesk.

So far I have most of the details I need but I'm missing the Caller Contact.

Since I haven't been able to get the javadoc nor any other documentation that details each of the functions, I'm left with asking for help here.

I need to be able to get the current Caller Contact and also be able to update it with a new value.

Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated :)

Re: Web-API - Getting the caller contact number

You need to declare a PERSON object and then FIND the one whose OID is the customer on the Service Call. I always found that the JSP issued to make up the out-of-box Self Service interface was a great source of "examples" - if not precisely what I wanted then often near enough.

I've attached a ZIP with the JAVA DOC HTML

That Javadoc zip file didn't seem to include all of the files...

Re: Web-API - Getting the caller contact number

The javadoc is included in the Service Pack, in the doc folder. Just decompress the SDSK executable and find the file.

Hope that helps.

Unfortunately I don't have access to the 4.5 SP17 and I tried looking it up on the patches section of ITRC and didn't find it.

Does it differ a lot from other versions?

Re: Web-API - Getting the caller contact number

I can't tell if they're very different from one another since I have not compared them nor used them extensively.

The good news is you do have access to the SDSK executable for SP17. It is very easy to retrieve.
