Re: View with related fields

Hello George,

E.g. I added the complete range of IP adresses (146. xxx) to SD.
Then I assign an address to an CI by relating it.
Now I will create a view in which you can see this related address.

Re: View with related fields

I sent you a printscreen so you can see what I mean.

I shouls like to add a field so that you can see which item is related to an IP address and reverse (which IP adress to an item).

It is a Dutch version.
Beschikbaar means Available
Uitgegeven means not Available

Re: View with related fields

Hi there,
So if I understand you want to display CI A which is related to CI IP-A. And see in one unique view the information resulting form this relation:

----------------
|CI A | CI IP-A|
----------------
| | |
----------------

I don't think it is feasible directly like that. My advice is to create some hidden fileds in the CI form (CI A)where you store (duplicate: CI IP-A data) the informaton you want to see in the view. Be carrefull on how you will maintain the information. Not easy with simple DB-Rules.
You will may be do it through sd_event commands or the Web-API.

That's my suggestion...

Hope this helps,
Rgds,

Re: View with related fields

Thank you for the suggestion.

I realize that it is not easy to maintain the information.
Perhaps later versions makes it easyer.
Thanks anyway
