Using Multiple Sessions

Please can somebody tell me how to setup shortcuts, like it says in the Admin Manual, for mutilple sessions.

The example in the manual doesn't work, no supprise there then.

It says to create a shortcut with the following:

C:\winnt\wjview.exe com.hp.ifc.ui.appconsole /Profile=clientAS1 /Userfolder="C:\program Files\Hewlett Packard\OpenView\Service Desk 4.5\Client\ClientAS1

I did of course replace the WINNT path with "C:\windows\system32\wjview.exe"

All I get the an error which says:

"ERROR : Could not execute com.hp.ifc.ui.appconsole : The system cannot find the file specified"

Anybody .........

Re: Using Multiple Sessions

Hi Peter,

the admin guide was incorrect. Review the attached file which should get you there.

Re: Using Multiple Sessions

We use the same procedure referenced by Mark and it works great.

It stores the cache files for each session in a unique location which prevents the common cache problems that can occur when signing into multiple environments using a single client cache.

Re: Using Multiple Sessions

I have tried the procedure listed above after trying the HP documentation, and I still get the same error message as listed in Peter's original posting. I have included the ini files that the latest procedure says to modify. is there anything missing??

thanks
