Updating only status filed

Hi...

I have a role which has the right to create new changes and modify those assigned to his workgroup.
I have a requirement in which, he should be able to modify the change till it is put in "approved" status, and after that, when the Change is put into "Resolved" status, he should be able to modify only the status and closure code fields.

Anyone has any suggestions on how this can be done?

Thanks.

Re: Updating only status filed

Hi...

Sorry about not providing the details.
I am running HPSD 4.5 SP19.

If I do as suggested, Status access from Resolved to Closed, that particular role will not be able to modify during the initial status before RFC is approved.
How can I manage that as well?

Thanks.

Re: Updating only status filed

use 2 roles, or dynamic form, your SP allow that - show Status field only if status in allowed statuses.

Re: Updating only status filed

Hye D... for SD4.5 SP19.. work with dynamic forms.. to restrict the user.

Status code restriction will not help as it will restrict the complete form from updations.

Other way would be to use UI rules to warn the user and undo the updation (but works only on Clients)
