Updates via email

I have email working mostly, notifications are working fine and new jobs via email are accepted and processed fine.

However, if I try and update a field via a email it always returns -:

The following error(s) occurs:
---------------------------------------------------
The given ID not found: 50568
---------------------------------------------------

The service call does however exist and I can browse it via the client.

Any ideas?
