Updated failed error when opening HPOV

Hi all!!

Everytime I try to open HPOV, I get the following error message:

"Update failed, please contact your system administrator"

After clicking the "OK" button in the error I just told you, the "java.lang.NullPointerException" error message shows up.

I already re-installed the application and its service pack (HPOV SD45 - SP15). I also delete the cache and re-installed the JVM but nothing seems to solve the problem.

Any ideas how to fix this?...

Hi Cesar,

When I was testing patches and hotfix files etc. I came across the same error when I had different a servicepack.jar file on my client that the one I should have for the version that the database was at e.g. SP 20 servicepack.jar client connecting to a SP 11 database.

Funny thing was that in the test lab reinstalling the correct SP didn't modify the ervicepack.jar to the correct one.

Manually copying over the correct servicepack.jar file from another working install to the client\lib folder resolved the issue. Check it out and see if it helps!
