Unable to create custom code

I am using OV service desk 4.5 SP 20.

I am creating a custom code so that i can order a custom field that is already used, so that i can order all the values.

So i create a custom code and then click references and the whole of service desk crashes and the server needs to be reset again.

I do not know why and would like some help so that i can order my custom field.

Hello Ben,

Try to purge client cache and mainly application server cache. To do the latter have the application server stopped before proceeding.

where would i find the option "mainly application server cache" to purge.

Hi Ben,

The server cache is (on a windows system) in folder cache under the server install folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\OpenView\service desk 4.5\server\cache)

Try stopping the server, then renaming this and see if the issue has gone.

I have tried to stopping the server, then renaming and starting back up. But still have the same problem.

Am i creating this custom code correctly. Am i supposed to create it, then restart server, then select references and link to it?
