To Close a ticket automatically

Can we close a ticket automatically,with the help of UI or DB rule, without doing any modifications on it?

Hi Geek,

Yes, we can use DB rule for closing the call.

DB Rule will look like this:
When service call is created or modified
where Status (*) equals Completed, Schedule the validation of this condition at 3 days After Actual Finish Time, Only execute once
CloseCallAfter3Days (Update Data) Status set to Closed


Please check at your end.

Hello,

Just an addition to what Rajesh wrote. In the same rule that sets status to closed you should also set values for any required field for that status, or else the update will fail.

And just to be sure it all works set the Status=Closed part of the rule as the last update to be fired.
