Ticket ID getting generated before the form is saved / closed

I noticed a strange behavior in one of the SD 5.10 setup.
The ticket ID is getting generated as soon as the form is opened. Even though the form is not saved, the ticket ID is consumed.

Due to this, the ticket ID is not in a sequence. As IDs are assigned to unsaved calls too.

Is this a bug in SD 5.10?

Re: Ticket ID getting generated before the form is saved / closed

Hi,

this is not a bug, you can change this behavior by going to your System Settings workspace> General Settings> General tab>, you will find the option "ID After creation" there, if this is checked, then the ID will be created after form is saved.

Re: Ticket ID getting generated before the form is saved / closed

There is one more issue, by default the Initiator of the call should be able to set the approvers, number of approvers and approval status. but here the entire Approval tab is ready only for the initiator.

"System" user is able to do that, but once he opens the call after setting approvers, no of approvers required and approval status the list of approvers is blank.

Re: Ticket ID getting generated before the form is saved / closed

Found solution the first issue, I have started a new thread for the other issue with Approval Module.
