Telephone Entity in Users' Details

Hello all,

Importing attributes from LDAP. I’ve imported “Telephone” as a separate entity. I’ve sit telephone type to “Business” in the template. Now what do I do if I want to import “Fax”. I want to view both “Telephone” and “Fax” in users’ details with the corresponding type and icon.

Re: Telephone Entity in Users' Details

Mohammed,

You import the fax number exactly the same way you import the telephone number, just change the type of the number. So remove the telephone type from the template, and put it in the data exchange file. The icon is defined in OVSD and is not part of data exchange.

Thank you Josh for your response.
I tried to import it just like Telephone. The problem I face is that it shows the Telephone on the left pane but not in the details section. It shows only the fax number in the details.

Re: Telephone Entity in Users' Details

You may need to change your used as primary key settings in the mapping. Perhaps when you import a second telephone number, it is overwriting the existing number, rather than creating a new number.
