System View for 2 workgroups

Hi,

I am looking to create a system view in 4.5 SP12 where I can merge 2 Workgroups together. However, this does not seem to be possible as I can only select one workgroup only from the "Assignment To Workgroup" criteria. Also, if I add in a second "Assignment To Workgroup" criteria the result is a blank view.
The only onther alternative I have is to move the 2 workgroups together as a sub workgroup but don't want to do this if possible.

All suggestions/ideas welcome,

Peter

Re: System View for 2 workgroups

Hi Peter,

going from memory here but try setting the filter using the "Contains" operator and type (paste) the workgroups seperated by a comma.

It sets one filter only. Setting the two like you tried does not work in V4.5.

Re: System View for 2 workgroups

Just following up on Mark's suggestion: use the operator Contains (OR), as opposed to Contains (AND).

Re: System View for 2 workgroups

Hi Peter,

set the filter to "Assignment; To Workgroup;Searchcode - this will then provive the contains operator and as above one exists for "Contains Or". Manually enter in the 2 workgroups seperated by a comma

Best of Luck (That should sort Rob out)

Re: System View for 2 workgroups

Hi Peter.
Easy way.
You have groups A, B, C.
A possible set as parent, but not obligatory.
Member m1 and m2.
You set m1 in B, m2 in C, but like m1 and m2 having list both members, so add m1 and m2 in A group too.
