Servicedesk 4.5 SP10 on Oracle to Servicedesk 4.5 SP19 on Oracle

Infrastructure Setup

1. Two Different server SD4.5 SP10(windows+ Oracle) and SD 4.5 SP19(Hp unix+oracle)

Requirement:

The entire Administrative configuration Details are same on both servers, However we need to migrate all service calls from SD4.5 SP10 to SD4.5 SP19 Server including attachments and history of the calls.

Could you please advice, is there way to migrate service calls with attachments from one server to another with different SP level.

the simple answer to your question is yes, at SP12 the attachments structure changes so you need to migrate the attachments to an ftp server.

We recently upgraded from SD4.0 to SD4.5 SP18
and all our Service calls and attachments were migrated.

I will try and dig out some docs for you.

Anbu,

you cant simply move your service calls and attachments from SP10 environment to an SP19 environment, you will need to upgrade. You need to run the database upgrade wizard, plus you need to migrate the attachments.

If its 2 seperate databases then I dont think its possible, i think SP12 makes changes to code in Service Desk for the new attachments structure.
