Hi Syed,

There should be a shell script in /opt/OV/bin/ called OvSdLic.sh

If it does not bring up the AutoPass window on the UX server, then you may need to use the Client Settings Editor to set the default login to system.

Also, if you use SingleSignOn (LDAP or AD), first start the client (ovconsole.sh), login as system and navigate to System Settings > General Settings > make sure to remove the checkmark at "Ignore client settings for login" before you execute OvSdLic.

Refer to installation guide, page 151:

For HP-UX 11.11 and HP-UX 11.23 platforms, a user must have default administrator privileges in order to access the HP Autopass License Management interface. A user account who has been allocated a system administrator role cannot access the licensing interface.

You can view license details only on the machine on which the HP OpenView management server is installed.

...

UNIX:

Execute the file /opt/OV/bin/OvSdLic file.

Re: Service desk 5: how to check installed licneses and installed module

Hi Syed,

Sorry for missing the modules part. The SD licensing scheme is kinda module-based too, such as a license for Helpdesk, Change Mgt, SLM, for monitored services (packs), named and/or concurrent users.

On HP-UX, you should be able to use swlist to find out which products were installed with swinstall. (Or SAM?)

You can also find some scripts in /opt/OV/bin/ like ovsdversion and ovsdcompversion. These give information more specific to SD.
