Service Desk - Pasword Settings

Hellow, my friends!

I need understand how does Pasword Seettings work:

I configured Password Settings of this form: Please, check my screenshot. Though, on of my users gets to effect logon with diferents parameters how: picture01 or picture02. How can Service Desk think about passwords truck? Because after definition on the Administrator Console, when a user effected a logon. Service Desk must be to block this password. Because the password parameters are differents.

Why does it happen?

Regards,

Marcela.

Re: Service Desk - Pasword Settings

Hi Marcela,

This setting only applies for newly created passwords, if the password was already in the database it will remain valid until the expiration.
After that the new settings will be taken into account when the user renews his password.
If this would apply for existing password every user would be locked out of Service Desk when they did not use such casing for their password.
