Service Desk Inbound e-mail problem

Service Desk Inbound e-mail problem


We have servicedesk 4.5 SP19 on win2k3 & Oracle 10g.We try to use inbound e-mail feature.First we changed smtp port (25 did not work) to 26.Then we get the following error on log file :

"Fri, 29/06/2007 10:48:29 Started.
Fri, 29/06/2007 10:48:55 The socket timeout is set to 1000 milliseconds.
Fri, 29/06/2007 10:49:00 SMTPERRORjava.lang.NullPointerException
at Source)

at Source)"

Any ideas ?

Check that the port is not used by another process (netstat command), Check, that win firewall allows to listen on this port (or add exception manually). When do you get this error? On server start or on recieving e-mail?
