Service Desk 5.1 data exchange and MYSQL

Hello all,

Does anybody tried to use data exchange task in Service Desk 5.1 with MYSQL ?

I am working with the driver :
mysql-connector-java-5.0.4-bin.jar
and I added it to the CLASSPATH environemnet variable.

I wrote the following:

[CONNECTION]
TYPE=JDBC

[JDBC]
DRIVER=com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
URL=jdbc:mysql://hostname:port/DBName
USR=
PWD=

but I get the error message: "Invalid jdbc connection URL" .

Does anybody have an idea ?

Thanks and Regards

Orit

Re: Service Desk 5.1 data exchange and MYSQL

Hi,

Try to create a DSN based on MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51 from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/3.51.html
In your config.ini use:

[DSN]
NAME=name
USR=user
PWD=password

Thanks for your answer, but I am working on unix machine (HP Itanium 11.23) so I need to use JDBC driver.

Try to download mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.12-HPUX11.23-ia64-64bit.tar.gz
from same location.
