Service Desk 5.1 Java Client

As any one had any luck running the SD 5.1 Jave client on Red Hat Linux through a firewall?

Not sure if it was redhat, but a few of our systems guys ran it on some flavor of linux. It was orders of magnitude faster on Linux than I've EVER seen it on our windows boxes. I'll try to find out what version of linux we were running.

Daniel,

SD client uses (as default) port 30999 for it's ITP communication. So if your firewall permits this port then it should be no problem running the client.

One more thing: the port (range) can be setup in server settings (I think).
