Service Desk 4.5(SP-25) - Service Pages

Can you customise the Service Pages?

First, I want to remove the 'Links' section on the first or Login page.

Second, I want to remove some of the buttons on the Service Pages form once the user has logged in. Specifically the 'Service' and 'Config Item' drop-down controls as these are only confusing to users logging a New 'Service Call'. Can the New Service Call form be modified (easily)?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Service Desk 4.5(SP-25) - Service Pages

Hi Michael,

SP are created with a bunch of jsp files. If you are familiar with java and html, you can modify the jsp files according to your own requirements. This requires some in-depth knowledge on java, html and table structure of your OVSD.
You should get some experts on this area before you attempt to modify the files on your own.

Thanks.

Hi Michael,

there is no GUI for changing the Service Pages. You need to knwo .jsp and html to modify them. What you want can be done but by altering code.

There is basic mention to service pages files in the admin guide but even that is basic. Search the forum for info on the main file strucutre you will need to work with.

First - Go the index.html and modify the frames as per your requirement.

Second - Go the Create Servicecall.jsp and comment out the fields which is not required to you.
Check in the development first how it looks then proceed further.
hope this helps.
