Secondary server time zone stuck on GMT - OVSD 5.1
I have just found a time zone problem that I am unable to resolve. It has occurred since we added a secondary server to our 5.1 SP5 environment. Here’s the scenario: - On Service call save, we take the information field and concatenate it to an “information log” custom field and time and date stamp it. - When a client is connected to the primary server, it works fine. - When a client is connected to the secondary server, the time is out by 8 hours. - I found Ruth’s post about the local “system” account and the correct time zone, and this seems to be the root of the problem (thanks Ruth and please post to this so I can give you some points). The system account on the secondary server is set to GMT.
However, when I log onto the secondary server as “system” and set the default time zone to PST, the next time I log on it shows GMT. If I log onto the primary server as system, it shows PST.
