Searching the history lines

Hi all !

I'm trying to build a view based on the history lines ie all the calls that I touched.

I've tried to build a filter based on history attributes :
"history;registration;created" allows me to filter based on the creation date of the history line but "history;registration;created by" doesn't work ...

I managed to test the attribute with sd_dataform, it looks like the parameter "history.registration.created by=[user]" is searching in integration accounts. If I put the display name of an simple application account, the output is empty.

Does anybody know how I can create the view ?

In advance, thank you.

Laurent

Re: Searching the history lines

Hi there,

Try

sd_dataform -ListAlways "Service Call" "History.Registration.created by.Display Name="

Hope this helps

Re: Searching the history lines

Thanks a lot !

This works great with sd_dataform. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work in the client "filter".

Do you know whatever way of getting this information into a view ?

Thanks.

Re: Searching the history lines

Hi Laurent,

Have a look at http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=808712

Some way down you will see advice on how to set filters for history by TYPING in the field name in the Advanced tab criterion on a filter:
History;Registration;Created
History;Information
History;Subject

I could not get Created By to work but you could experiment,

Good luck, Ruth

Re: Searching the history lines

Hello,

Do it while you can. Some genius complained about the ability to do the typing trick in advanced find and some one even brighter from the HP may "fix" this "problem" and f*** us.

Re: Searching the history lines

Hi George,
Thanks for the warning about the possibilty that HP might fix this - it still works at SP23 so let's hope that they resist the temptation!

By the way, as the world expert on this topic, have you managed to search for history created by?

Re: Searching the history lines

Hello Ruth,

I just opened a case to HP to make it configurable if they are going to "fix" this.

Anyway, you cannot search/filter on Registration;Created;Created By as you cannot search for Approval;Approval Vote;Approver since these are entity references "embeded" in objects (registration/approval)

Hi all,

Thanks a lot for your answers.
I'll keep an eye on the HP problem ticket to see if it gets updated.

Re: Searching the history lines

Since it's not possible to do it in a view, I used sd_dataform to get the list of calls where the history lines are registered by "username" and the subject contains "Resolved".

sd_dataform "Service Call form" "history.registration.created by.display name=username" "history.Subject"[Contains]"Resolved" -listalways
//Add this to "OnDomLoad" event
