Sd_dataform and Work order relations

Hello!

I have next task: after SC creation, creates WO, after that specialist based on information from this WO decides which WOs should be created next. All of these WOs should be linked to SC.

I tried sd_dataform, but could not link new WO to SC. How can i pass SC's ID from one WO to other? I tried sd_dataform "Work order" -forcenew "+Relations.Servicecall.ID=[ID]", but got error Attribute 'Relations.Servicecall.ID' not found.

Re: Sd_dataform and Work order relations

Hi Denis_35

You can try a space in Service Call.

Which client is used, and which servicepack?

There is an example in http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/FID/DOCUMENTUM_ITSM009806 which is solved in sp33+.

Another way to create chains of workorders is by using autowo.

Please submit an RFI via SSO with more details of your setup and configuration, so I can investigate further. We can share the answer with the community here later.

I use SD 4.5 sp37 standart client (not 2008).

Re: Sd_dataform and Work order relations

Found it!

Observe that the relations in Service call, Problem, Change and Incident forms are views of Service Event Relation, and it's possible to make multiple relations with each type except the same type.

However, in Workorder forms, there can only be 1 of each related, and the field is boxed under label "Related to".

This means that you have to make a distinction of creating relations with work orders, or a work order to something else, or creating relations without work orders at all.

I could make a new Work order form pop up with a parametrized relation to an existing Service call 164 like this:

    sd_dataform "Work Order" -forcenew +"Service call.ID=164"
